Regina was the mayor of Storybrooke for twenty-eight years while the curse was enacted. Since it has been broken by the savior, she has been forced to leave her job. Everyone in town has regained their memory of who they really are and they remember Regina as the Evil Queen. At present, Regina is trying her best to redeem herself. She is doing this to win back her son Henry, who is currently living with his birth mother Emma and his grandparents Mary Margaret and David. Regina is still desperately looking for her happy ending and will do all she can to get it. She just wants to live in peace with Henry, and have the love she so desperately craves for. She raised him for ten years, he is her son, an all she wants is to be with him.
The Enchanted Forest
The Evil Queen was the person Regina used to be when she lived in the Enchanted Forest. The Queen is the one who cast the Dark Curse which brought everyone to Storybrooke; a land without magic. A land without magic is what Regina wanted. The Queen was desperate to seek revenge on her nemesis Snow White, who, the Queen believed, was the reason for the death of her true love, Daniel. After her fiancé’s death, Regina was forced to marry Snow White’s father; King Leopold. The King did not love Regina and she was incredibly unhappy in the arranged marriage. After the King passed away, Regina tried to get her vengeance on his daughter but at every turn she was thwarted. In her final desperate attempt to win, she initiated the Dark Curse to get her revenge on her step-daughter and to destroy everyone’s happy ending. She also wished to start a new life in a new place where she could finally find true happiness.
Currently, Regina is in Neverland with Emma and the Charmins trying to rescuse her son. Henry was kidnapped and taken to this strange and dangerous land and is now in grave danger from Pan and his troup of Lost Boys. She will do anything to get Henry back, even by resorting to use magic again.
